Storyboard: “Time for Dreams to Take Their Revenge”This short animation project tells the story of a group of caterpillars living in a small rooftop garden surrounded by a gritty cityscape. When birds swoop in one by one, picking off the caterpillars, a single cocoon remains — until it too is caught. Just as it’s about to be eaten, the cocoon bursts open, releasing a butterfly that escapes into the sky.
Designing this piece was one of the most fun and expressive projects I’ve done. I played with camera angles, grayscale tones, and dramatic pacing to make the transformation moment feel cinematic — almost like a mini film. The challenge was telling a complete story without words, only through visuals, movement, and timing.
Every scene became an opportunity to experiment: different angles, emotional beats, and how to build tension through composition. From the playful caterpillar expressions to the final flight sequence, it was all about contrast — vulnerability turning into freedom. This project reminded me why I love storytelling through design — because even a simple scene can carry something universal: hope, persistence, and transformation
